It is only through deeds of sacrifice
For those we dearly love
That we discover an untapped source of strength
From a spirit high above.
His memory still cries out
As if always to remind
That though his time on earth has passed
It is his love he’s left behind.
Even though you are empty
With a sadness all your own,
Remembering all his love for you
Means you will never be alone.
Take this opportunity
To be with him and to cry,
To thank the Lord for the love you shared
And never question “Why?”
