The Sudden Loss of a Young Loved One

Table of Contents | Print

The sudden loss of a young loved one
Makes us stop and question why
We must suffer life’s unfairness
First to love, then lose and cry.

Through growing up together
Two spirits often touch as one.
To share the love of friendship
Is a joy surpassed by none.

So though he’s gone forever
It’s his love he’s left behind
To carry deep within your heart
And share what you may find.

So stop to contemplate a while
On those feelings you still share,
Then slowly wake, life carries on,
Still sad, yet more aware.
