The years have flown right by us
Since the days our hearts were one,
Yet time and other lovers
Cannot fog memories of all our fun.

We were young and carefree,
The old college days, you know,
I had my house, my heart, your hand
And dreams to help us grow.

Then as fate would have it
Our paths went separate ways.
I learned of love and happiness
That would return in future days.

Years and lovers later
A fondness still remains
For that crazy, giggly little girl
I was never sure was sane.

Still, I will look through clouded eyes
When your memories come to mind.
It’s peace and health and happiness
I hope you’ll always find.
